Man arrested for DUI after crash into Redding Veterinary Clinic

REDDING, Calif. - A man is behind bars after an alleged DUI crash into a building in Redding, that closed a road and caused a gas leak. The crash happened around 10 p.m. Wednesday on Westside Road between Buenaventura Boulevard and Breslauer Road. That area was temporarily closed as emergency crews investigated and cleared the scene.

Woman sentenced for 2021 hit-and-run that killed 10-year-old

PEORIA (25 News Now) - A Peoria woman has been sentenced to spend the next 25 years of her life in prison after a 2021 hit-and-run that left a 10-year-old dead. Karrie Brunswig was sentenced for leaving the scene of an accident, aggravated DUI, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance in the November 2021 incident that killed Troy Erving.

Bowling Green man arrested on DUI charge

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One man in Bowling Green was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Yesterday, the Bowling Green Police Department responded to EZ Liquor for an intoxicated driver. Officials stated they received a report of a man in a hospital gown driving a black Cadillac CTS who drove through the drive through, almost hit the building and attempted to make a purchase.

Judge sentences Madison man on felony 5th DUI charge

A Madison man will serve time in the state penitentiary on his 5th DUI charge. 58-year-old Timothy O’Connell was sentenced on the felony DUI charge in Lake County Circuit Court this week. Circuit Judge Pat Pardy sentenced O’Connell to serve four years in the state penitentiary, along with fees, costs and restitution of more than three-hundred dollars. Judge Pardy suspended three years of O’Connell’s sentence based on numerous conditions. Some of those conditions include that he pay the amount he owes in fees, costs and restitution. The judge also revoked O’Connell’s driver’s license for three years following his release from prison.

DUI crash kills man, 3 dogs in downtown Los Angeles

A man walking three dogs in a crosswalk were struck and killed early Thursday in downtown Los Angeles.The crash happened at about 12:20 a.m. at 5th and Hill Street. According to the LAPD, a vehicle going northbound on Hill Street collided with the man, who had been walking two dogs.The man, described as being between 25 and 30 years old, was found underneath a pickup truck and pronounced dead at the scene. His three dogs were also left lying in the street from the impact of the crash.His name has not been released.At least six other cars were also hit in the crash.Police say some force was needed to take the driver has been taken into custody. The driver was determined to be under the influence, and faces potential charges of hit-and-run, DUI, and manslaughter, police said.

The Santa Rosa Police Department will hold a DUI checkpoint Friday night looking for anyone driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The checkpoint will take place at an undisclosed location from 6 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday. Locations are based off areas with notable levels of crashes involving impaired driving, according to the police.
