Drug Charges Filed Against Two Men Following Weekend Traffic Stop

Laurens, IA (KICD)– Two men have been charged with drug offenses following a weekend traffic stop in Pocahontas County. The initial call to police came in shortly before eight o’clock Saturday evening for a reckless driver on Highway 10 west of Laurens. The vehicle was eventually stopped in town with 18-year-old Anthony Jones and 19-year-old Austin Seiler both being charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Three Ocean County Residents Charged For Selling Drugs

TOMS RIVER – A multi-agency investigation has led to three Ocean County residents to be arrested and charged for selling drugs, authorities said. Three homes, two in Lakewood and one in Toms River, were being used by 41-year-old Ivan Contreras-Cruz of Toms River, 27-year-old Alberto Vasquez-Ventura of Lakewood, and 49-year-old Natalia Mihok of Toms River, to store and distribute illegal narcotics, police said.

A 21-year-old man from Raeford is facing drug charges after being pulled over in a traffic stop on Tuesday. “On October 4, 2022, Deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop in the 100 block of South Sandhills Boulevard in Aberdeen,” said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a statement. “During the stop, Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle. As a result of the search, Deputies located cocaine, opiates, marijuana, items of drug paraphernalia, a firearm, and $4,614.00 in currency.”

Arrest for Warrant Turns Into New Drug Charges

A Coffeyville man was apprehended by the Coffeyville Police Department for a failure to appear warrant, and that escalated to new charges. In the process of arresting 56-year-old Johnny Glasgow for the open warrant, officers allegedly found an open container of alcohol, methamphetamines, and drug paraphernalia.
