Google Drive users can now fully back up their files on Apple M1 Macs

Owners of Apple’s M1 Macs will soon have access to the full range of Google products after the search engine firm announced that it had ironed out the remaining compatibility issues affecting Google Drive Backup and Sync. Google also confirmed that support for Google Drive File Stream will be coming in April.

Houston, UMMC begin drive-thru COVID vaccinations at Delmar Stadium

Houstonians now can get their COVID-19 vaccines in their cars at a new drive-thru site set up by the city and United Memorial Medical Center. The groups launched the site Monday at Delmar Stadium for people who have appointments. People who show up without appointments will be turned away, and none currently are available. The city sends out notifications for new appointments via AlertHouston, often on Fridays.

Video shows Tacoma police vehicle drive through crowd, run over at least 1 person

A Tacoma, Washington, police officer was seen driving through a downtown crowd Saturday night, running over at least one person and sending them to the hospital. The officer responded to multiple calls that a group of people were blocking a downtown intersection when the crowd began descending on the police car, the Tacoma Police Department said. Interim Tacoma Police Chief Mike Ake said he is “committed” to the department’s full cooperation into an investigation into the incident.

Hampton Presbyterian Church will observe the first day of Lent on Feb. 17 with an Ash Wednesday worship service at 7:30 p.m. Ashes will be distributed, pending restrictions. The nursery is not available during covid-19 but small children are welcome to be with their families in the service. There are also locations throughout the building where the service will be live-steamed. The church is at 2942 East Hardies Road in Gibsonia.

Drive-through Dunkin' proposed in Litchfield

LITCHFIELD — An application for a zoning regulation amendment to allow a drive-through Dunkin’ has been filed in Litchfield, and customers couldn’t be happier. That’s according to Sweet Grounds, a development company connected to the PAC Group in Torrington, which has been installing Dunkin’s new model of coffee stops in response to the pandemic’s demands. Sweet Grounds has a petition on change.org explaining the project, and has collected more than 160 signatures in favor of it.
