The classic video game that essentially spawned an entire genre, Diablo II, has been resurrected. The new-and-improved Diablo II: Resurrected remaster is out today, replete with a fully overhauled campaign and online multiplayer. And therein lies the problem: The game may be live on Battle.net but many players can’t play...
Diablo 2: Resurrected may not have offline multiplayer options, but you can still play with your friends using its online play features. As long as you and your friend both have the game and are friends with one another on Battle.net, you can easily set up a play session with one another.
Diablo 2: Resurrected brings back the classic action-RPG for modern platforms, and while it's gotten a visual overhaul and some other quality-of-life improvements, it's a largely faithful remake of a two-decade-old game. As such, you can expect it to generally be less friendly to players than Diablo 3--if that's your only exposure to the series thus far, prepare for Resurrected to tell you a whole lot less, kick your teeth in, and then make you walk--not run--away because you've run out of stamina.
Diablo II: Resurrected is nearing its September 23 release date. For some gamers, it may be hard to muster much excitement. Yes, the original Diablo II, which debuted on PC back in 2000, is one of the best action-RPGs of all time. But Blizzard has found itself encircled by controversy this year, facing accusations of harassment from former and current employees, massive leadership changes, a lawsuit from the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing and, more recently, a complaint from Activision Blizzard King workers with support from the Communications Workers of America to the National Labor Relations.
The release of Diablo 2: Resurrected is almost upon us (here's when it unlocks in your time zone), and enterprising fans have already extracted models of some of its enemies. In the video above you can get up close and personal with a siege beast, frozen horror, the three barbarian ancients from the end of Lord of Destruction, the dark wanderer, Baal, Diablo, and *spoilers* the Cow King, who now wears a fancy hoof-ring and sure does have some detailed udders. It was somebody's job to model those udders.
Despite the multiple lawsuits facing Activision Blizzard due to sexual harassment workplace discrimination, and the subsequent fallout from these, Diablo II Resurrected, the remastered version of the 2000 classic, is still set to hit its release date this week. Diablo II Resurrected Remaster Release Date: September 23, 2021. Diablo II...

All across the Diablo franchise, the randomly generated dungeons have been the most iconic, wonderful, and frustrating parts of the games. Diablo 2: Resurrected takes the old PC game and gives it a new lick of paint, allowing you to enjoy it – be it for the first time or not – with a heap of quality-of-life improvements. One feature you won’t be getting, however, is true ultrawide support. Blizzard explains...
After 20 years, the action role-playing hack-and-slash icon Diablo 2 is getting a modern remaster with Diablo 2: Resurrected. Diablo 2 was a groundbreaking RPG when it was first released back in 2000, has influenced countless titles since, including sequels. This remaster will toe the line between a worthwhile modern remaster and the preservation of a classic — the game is expected to add updated graphics, Dolby 7.1 surround sound, and make some key quality-of-life improvements, but the plot and gameplay should feel true to the original release.
