A Jamestown man who was wanted on a handful of charges was taken into custody Thursday afternoon. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies and Carroll Town Police were called to a residence on Stone Road in the Town of Poland just after 4:00 PM for a report of a wanted subject and located 25-year-old Christian Powell inside the residence. Powell was taken into custody on a warrant charging him with 2nd-degree burglary, 2nd-degree criminal contempt, 3rd-degree criminal mischief, 2nd-degree reckless endangerment, and 2nd-degree harassment. Deputies also charged Powell with another count of 2nd-degree criminal contempt upon arrest. He was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment, and will answer the charges in Poland Town Court at a later date.
