This week on Cop’s Corner police investigate stalking, counterfeit money, burglary and more. Officers responded to the listed address in reference to a dispute. One individual was arrested for two out-of-county warrants and for providing a false name to a law enforcement officer and was transported to Orient Road Jail.

MORE COUNTERFEIT MONEY FOUND IN CROSSVILLE

Yesterday, a Crossville Police officer pulled over a vehicle for illegal window tint. While conducting a search of the vehicle, the passenger had some counterfeit bills rolled up in a penny roller. When the officer asked the female about the counterfeit money, she replied she had gotten it from a man after a clean-up job. The officer showed her where “For motion picture use only” was written at the top of the bills.

September 28, 2022 - A local restaurant contacted Shelby County Today to help alert business owners and the public regarding fake $100 bills being used in the area. The owner advised one $100 bill was accepted before staff realized it was counterfeit. When a second bill was attempted to be used, the staff was aware and ready.
