Lions' Tyrell Williams: Ruled out for Monday

Williams (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of Monday's contest against the Packers, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. The veteran wideout had just two receptions for 14 yards before leaving Week 1 with a concussion. Williams hasn't been able to practice all week so the designation isn't surprising, but it's telling the team hadn't even went through Saturday's practice before making the announcement. It remains to be seen whether Williams will be available for Week 3 against Baltimore.

Highly-anticipated freshman QB Jaxson Dart has replaced star junior QB Kedon Slovis in the first quarter of USC’s road game at Washington State. Slovis was injured on the opening drive of the game after taking a sack on a third-and-12. Slovis stayed down on the turf and was evaluated by trainers. He eventually walked off the field under his own power; he left the game 1-of-2 for eight yards. Washington State drove down the field for a 7-0 on its opening drive. A&M WR Ainias Smith will not return for remainder of UNM game

Texas A&M wideout and punt returner Ainias Smith left the second quarter of the Aggies' game with New Mexico after a long punt return and went to the medical tent after the play was over. He did not return to the game and according to a source has entered concussion protocols. Smith had two catches for 16 yards and four punt returns for 78 yards when he left the game.
