Nikki Sixx Says He Understands Why David Lee Roth Turned Down Mötley Crüe Tour

You might remember — and we certainly do, given the gangbusters traffic numbers the story put up — when David Lee Roth said a couple of months ago that he turned down an offer to open up for Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard on the two bands’ giant summer stadium tour, saying “I don’t open for bands that I influenced.” At least that’s how Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx relayed the story.

After what had to be a rough weekend, Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil is back at home and resting, according to a new update from Motley Crue. Neil broke "a few ribs" after falling off the stage during a solo performance on October 15th at the Monster on the Mountain festival in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil was reportedly taken to hospital after falling off stage during a solo show in Pigeon Forge, TN, on Friday night. Footage shot during the performance - at the Monsters on the Mountain festival at the LeConte Center - shows Neil taking a tumble during a performance of Motley Crue's 1989 single Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away). The singer can be seen encouraging the crowd as he walks forward, before apparently stepping off the front of the stage and disappearing from view.
