New Partnership with the Satell Institute

PAFA's New Partnership with the Satell Institute Provides Scholarships for Online Summer Camp Students. PAFA has partnered with the Satell Institute – a Philadelphia-based Think and Do Tank dedicated to Corporate Social Responsibility - in their YES (Youth Enrichment Series) Initiative in 2021, to provide free scholarships to any student who wanted to learn safely and socially online over the summer months. Approximately two dozen organizations across Philadelphia participated in the inaugural program and at PAFA. Satell was able to fully fund 60 summer camps and pre-college scholarships for students from all over the region who otherwise would not have been able to afford summer programs. The opportunity to join PAFA’s summer camp program gave K-8 students an opportunity to learn new skills, experiment with artistic materials and styles, and make new friends after a tough school year. It also gave pre-college students their first taste of a college-level curriculum, working with PAFA faculty members to hone their skills, build a portfolio suitable for the college admission process, and get their first college credit.
