Anyone who has raised a teenager knows that a back-to-school fashion priority for many is their kicks, and those who visited the Piedmont Technical College Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) in Laurens recently modeled all brands and styles of sneakers, duck boots, sandals, cowboy boots, and even crocs. One day in the near future, they will have bigger shoes to fill — those of tomorrow’s technology workforce.

TikTok challenge ends with some bathrooms closed at Clinton High School

CLINTON, Miss. — Clinton High School officials closed some bathrooms after an "abundance of inappropriate behavior" stemming from the "Devious Licks" trend. School administrators said Monday that students will only be allowed to use the centrally-located ones which are monitored by personnel throughout the day. Students are only allowed to go in two at a time.

Clinton Arrows upset Oxford 23-6, look towards playoff spot

The season is now down to three games for the Clinton Arrows. Clinton High School is now 3-4 overall and 2-2 in Region 2-6A and can likely clinch the #3 seed playoff spot if the Arrows win all three remaining games – or a #4 seed if they win two out of the last three. Clinton faces Grenada on the road October 22 and will host Tupelo October 29 at Arrow Field before closing out the season at Jackson Murrah on the road.

The start of the 2021-2022 school year at Clinton High School has brought a lot of new excitement, including a completely different broadcast journalism class. This year, Clinton High School hired a new teacher for this course, and he has made a huge impact on the program in just a few months. Adam Chance was hired as the new broadcast journalism instructor as of July of this year.

A Roane County General Sessions Court judge was cited last week by the Tennessee Highway Patrol for failing to use due care and driving with an open container following a traffic accident last week in Roane County. The Powdersville Lady Patriots started on the road to state tonight in the first round of the playoffs, in pursuit for their 4th consecutive State Championship title. The Lady Patriots hosted Clinton High School and won 3-0: 25-10, 25-15, 25-9. The Lady Patriots offense was led by Megan Carpenter with 17 kills , 16 set assists 7 digs and 3 blocks. Maura Kindel was a key component in the middle with 9 kills and 4 blocks. Victoria Leriger contributed 8 kills and 11 digs, Ana Reca had 7 kills and 18 set assists, and Ashley Marsiglia added 10 digs on the evening. The Lady Patriots will host Daniel High School on Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 6pm in round 2 of the playoffs. Come out and cheer the ladies on the road to another state title.

Michael L. "Mikey" McFarlin

South Beloit, IL - Michael "Mikey" L. McFarlin, age 61, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday October 16, 2021 with family by his side. He was born in Beloit, WI on August 10, 1960 to William McFarlin and Donna (Beals) McFarlin, he was the youngest of three children. Growing up in Clinton, Mikey attended Clinton schools and graduated from Clinton High School in 1978. Mikey always knew the importance of a good work ethic. He started working for The DeLong Company of Clinton in 1978, and continued to work there until the time of his death. In 1999, he became the owner of a local tavern, The Boar's Nest where he made many new friends that he considered family.
