Brave Health rakes in $10 million in new funding

Brave Health, a virtual behavioral health provider aimed at people on Medicaid, raised $10 million in Series B funding, the company announced Tuesday. City Light Capital, Union Square Ventures and Able Partners led the funding round. The company has brought in nearly $21 million in total financing since its founding in 2017.

CVS, BCBS venture funds raise $118M for telehealth addiction platform

Workit Health raised $118 million in Series C funding for its telehealth addiction care program, the company announced Thursday. Insight Partners, a private equity and venture capital firm, led the funding round. BCBS Venture Fund, CVS Health Ventures, FirstMark Capital and 3L Capital also participated. Workit Health plans to use the additional money to expand into new markets and boost its primary and psychiatric care products and services.

Digital health continues to break funding records as companies across the globe raked in $8.1 billion in venture capital during the third quarter. Investments in the second quarter had already reached a all-time high with digital health companies scooping up $7.7 billion, as the money pumped into the sector continues to accumulate.
