MIDLAND, Texas (Nexstar)- Midland Police are asking for help from the community to identify three women accused of theft. According to a Facebook post, on July 21 three women stole more than $5,000 worth of Ray-Ban and Versace glasses from Vision Health Specialties. The trio left the store in a white Chrysler 200.

Carl Levin, a Democrat who was the longest-serving US senator from Michigan and who prominently opposed the rush to war in Iraq, has died. He was 87. Levin had a slightly rumpled, down-to-earth demeanor throughout a 36-year career in which he was a staunch supporter of his hometown auto industry. The Harvard-educated attorney also was a respected leader of the Senate armed services committee.

Experian reports 26.66% of all new vehicles were leased in the first quarter of 2021—down from 30.68% in the first quarter of 2020, before the coronavirus hit the U.S. economy and workforce. There are regional differences as well. The northeast United States leads the nation with 46.29% of new vehicles being leased. In the southern U.S., that number is just 15.87%.
