Chickasaw health worker can't get vaccine, losing job

ADA, Okla. (KTEN) -- A Chickasaw Nation employee says she's losing her job as a health care recovery specialist because she is unable to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Sebien Juristy says she has severe allergies that have resulted in hospitalization on 20 occasions. She said she has also dealt with heart conditions from the use of EpiPen injections, which are used to deal with allergic emergencies.

OSBI Releases New Information In Officer-Involved Shooting In Stephens County

New details of an officer-involved shooting Wednesday in Stephens County have been released as the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation continues its probe. Authorities initially said the suspect was involved in a shootout with Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse Police after failing to pull over for a traffic stop in at 4610 US-81 in Marlow. However, OSBI investigators determined Tuesday that no shots were ever fired by the driver of the suspect vehicle.
