Man arrested after chase reaching 115 mph in Dickinson County

SPIRIT LAKE, Iowa (KCAU) – Authorities arrested an Iowa man for high speed chase reaching speed up to 115 mph. According to the release, an officer with the Spirit Lake Police Department observed a red Chevy Impala traveling westbound on Highway 9/71 near the courthouse at 71 mph in the 25 mph zone shortly after 3am Thursday morning.

2 People Dead Following Crash In Pike County

Two people were killed in a Pike County crash this past Sunday. At around 3:45pm on US 23 at Foxcroft Lane, police say that a Jeep Cherokee traveling north, crossed over into the southbound lanes and struck a Chevy Equinox. Following the initial crash, a Ford Escape ran into the Equinox. A passenger of the Cherokee, 43-year-old Rebecca Miller, of Hopkins Fork, and the driver of the Equinox, 52-year-old Melissa Bowling of Knott County, died at the hospital.

Woman In A Stolen Vehicle Accused Of Writing Stolen Checks

A woman with three outstanding warrants is again behind bars after Lincoln Police were called to the Hy-Vee gas station at 250 N 52nd street around noon on Tuesday, July 27th. The store reported that a woman in a blue pickup was trying to write a bad check for gas. Officers arrived and spoke with the woman who was in a 2009 Chevy Silverado. She gave officers a false name and as they were trying to identify her, she put the keys into the ignition and tried to drive away. She continued to struggle and drive off until officers physically removed her.

Festus woman injured in three-vehicle crash

(Barnhart) A three-vehicle accident sent a Festus woman to the hospital on Tuesday night. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2001 Chevy Silverado driven by a 16-year old male from Barnhart was making a left turn from Highway 61/67 onto westbound Route M and pulled into the path of a 2009 Toyota Rav4 driven by 89-year old Donald Wieland of Imperial. The collision caused both vehicles to strike a third vehicle, a 2007 Cadillac CTS, driven by Gabriel Dohack of Imperial. All three drivers were not injured, but a passenger in Wieland’s vehicle, 73-year old Kathryn Parker of Festus was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson with moderate injuries. The accident took place a little after 8 o’clock Tuesday night.
