Carol Sutton died Friday of Covid-19 complications. She was a native of New Orleans and built a career over decades on both stage and screen. Her death was confirmed by New Orleans Mayor MaToya Cantrell. Cantrell said: “We will always remember her commanding stage presence.’ May she rest in God’s perfect peace”. The actress was best known for her roles in “Steel Magnolias,” “Queen Sugar,” and “Lovecraft Country”. Sutton was 76 years old.

GREENWICH — Greenwich Public Schools is seeing the single largest surge in cases of COVID-19 since the start of the scholastic year. Since Tuesday, the school district has reported 33 new COVID cases. And since last Friday, there have been 42 new cases. It is both the biggest three-day and week-over-week increase the district has reported.
A woman who played an extra on HBO's "Lovecraft Country" said the show's makeup artists darkened her skin in the series. The woman, Kelli Amirah, said she was hired to portray a young Osberta in a wedding photo that was featured in an episode of the show.
