Suspect detained after stolen car, chase leads to crash in Florence

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A chase Wednesday led to a crash in Florence after a car was stolen, according to Major Mike Nunn with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office. Florence police are assisting the sheriff’s office and South Carolina Highway Patrol in the area of South Irby Street and Cherokee Road, according to Capt. Mike Brandt with the Florence Police Department.

Police identify 33-year-old at-large suspect who shot and wounded Littleton police officer

LITTLETON, Colo. — Police in Littleton on Wednesday released the name of the at-large suspect who shot and wounded a Littleton police officer late Monday. Police said Rigoberto Valles Dominguez, 33, shot Littleton Police Officer David Snook multiple times after the suspect entered an apartment unit during a foot chase in the area of 183 W. Powers Avenue in Littleton.

Charles County Sheriff’s Office Apprehend Suspects in Carjacked Vehicle, Accidental Canine Bite

On September 13, at 12:35 a.m., an officer patrolling the area of Crain Highway and Heritage Green Parkway observed a vehicle speed past him; one of the vehicle’s front headlights was also out. The officer initiated a traffic stop, but the driver refused to pull over and fled north on Crain Highway. Officers subsequently deployed stop sticks and the car came to a stop after striking a sign in the 3000 block of Crain Highway. All of the occupants ran from the car and fled on foot. A computer check revealed the car was stolen during an armed carjacking in Virginia and the registration plate on the vehicle had been reported stolen in Charles County.

A man was wounded in a shooting in Santa Monica Wednesday and police were searching for two suspects. Officers were called to the area of Ocean Avenue and Pacific Street at about 3 a.m. by a man who said he had been shot in the face during a possible carjacking, according to a Santa Monica Police Department statement.

Paterson murder suspect arrested in Brooklyn

A man from North Haledon has been arrested for his role in a Paterson murder, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office. Rondell Gray, 40, was arrested on September 13 at around 6:30 a.m. in Brooklyn, New York. He had been a fugitive after the August 31 murder in the area of 454 Union Avenue.

Man shot while sleeping in car near the beach

Santa Monica Police Department detectives continue to actively investigate an early Wednesday morning shooting that left one person hospitalized and suspects outstanding. At approximately 3 a.m. the Santa Monica Public Safety Dispatch Center received multiple phone calls regarding shots fired in the area of Ocean and Pacific. A subsequent call was received from a male stating he had been shot in the face during a possible carjacking.
