Cannabis industry continues growth

SHOW LOW — The marijuana industry continues to grow in the area and the Independent provides an update, below:. Green Hills Patient Center located in Show Low partnered with the iconic marijuana advocacy group Arizona NORMAL to conduct a clinic at its patient center building last Sunday. The purpose of the clinic was to help those convicted of simple marijuana possession in the past to have that record expunged. The simple possession of “flower,” up to an ounce, is not illegal anymore in Arizona after the voters passed Proposition 207 by a wide margin in November 2020. It used to be a felony. The limit for medical marijuana card holders is two ounces. The proposition contained a provision which allowed persons with such convictions to have their record of the conviction expunged by asking the Arizona superior court to order it done. There is one Superior Court in Arizona, one in each the state’s counties.

Atlanta Olympic memorabilia live on, but not making many people rich

Most collectibles worth little, despite rare items fetching thousands. A quarter century ago, Atlanta’s Olympic fever spawned a cottage industry of tchotchkes. Three hundred million yellow stamps. Sixteen varieties of federal commemorative coins. Some 100 million enamel pins. And that’s not counting the sea of beach towels, toothpick holders and dinnerware paying homage to Izzy, the alternately mocked and beloved electric blue mascot of the 1996 Games.

Brown’s Brewing Company – Helles Rebuke

Many birders find gull identification one of the more difficult aspects of this hobby and classifying gulls when they appear on cans of beer is often no less vexing a problem. Luckily for us, the gull featured on Rebuke, a Helles-style lager from Brown’s Brewing Company of Troy, New York, is depicted in silhouette, which gets us off the hook ID-wise, as far as I’m concerned. Sure, it’s entirely possible that there are some superhuman larophiles out there among the uppermost pantheon of elite birders who can identify this gull to species by its shadowy outline. Well, good for them. We’ve got a beer to drink.
