Glasgow man dies after being struck twice by vehicles

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow man died Monday after falling from his mini bike and being struck by two vehicles. At about 9:30 p.m. Monday, Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green was requested by the Barren County Sheriff’s Office to investigate a fatal collision. The collision occurred on East Hiseville Main Street in Barren County. Troopers responded to the scene.

Franklin man killed after tire “failed,” causing truck to cross I-165 median in Warren Co.

A Simpson County man has been killed when a tire “failed,” causing a truck to cross a I-165 median and hit a semi-truck. Sunday afternoon at approximately 3:00, Kentucky State Police responded to the 9-mile marker of southbound I-165 (formerly Natcher Parkway) and found that 53-year-old Anthony Rutledge, of Henderson, was driving a 1999 Ford F-350 with a gooseneck trailer north.

(BOWLING GREEN, KY) The price of diesel varies by as much as $0.12 in the greater Bowling Green area, according to a recent price survey. The title of cheapest station in the Bowling Green area went to Shell at 535 Three Springs Rd, according to a Tuesday survey by GasBuddy. Diesel was listed there at just $2.97 per gallon. The most expensive station in the city was $3.09, at Huck's at 104 New Bond Way, the survey found:

Tampa PD Will Have Ride-Along Counselors

It’s been talked about for a while, but now it’s actually happening. The Tampa Police Department is hiring mental health professionals who will ride along with officers and partner with them in interactions with people who are experiencing mental health or drug issues. The counselors will be riding along and responding to calls in tandem with officers daily. The change is part of Mayor Jane Castor’s multi-part plan, which includes 17 different proposals to make policing better in Tampa.
