Habitat Holding Two Groundbreaking Ceremonies Friday

Habitat for Humanity Owensboro-Daviess County is having groundbreaking ceremonies for their next two builds on Friday starting at 10am. “2023 is going to be a big year for our organization and we are starting with two houses,” said Jeremy Stephens, Executive Director at Habitat. “These ceremonies are so special. We gather as an organization with Board Members, volunteers, Habitat applicants, and the future homeowners and their families to celebrate the first step in building their house. The road ahead continues to be rocky for Schenevus Central School District, as documents requested via the New York State Freedom of Information Law reveal former superintendent Theresa Carlin had filed a complaint through the state’s Division of Human Rights against the district. According to its website, the New York State Division of Human Rights “is dedicated to eliminating discrimination, remedying injustice, and promoting equal opportunity, access, and dignity through enforcement of the Human Rights Law.”
