With five teams currently at 5-1 or better, the race for home-field advantage in the NFC is already heating up and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in the thick of it after a 5-1 start. The Bucs will host the Chicago Bears in Week 7 and Chicago is also in the NFC playoff picture as it currently is one of three teams in the conference at 3-3. But Chicago's offensive woes have been well-documented and even its top-10 defense could be challenged by the third-ranked scoring offense in the NFL.

Buccaneers vs. Bears odds, prediction: No blowout on horizon in Tampa

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (-7) over New York Jets. Visitors return stateside off their narrow loss to the Falcons in London, but history teaches that this is no opponent the Jets can rely upon to facilitate winning ways. Patriots have slapped Gang Green around 12 straight times, and off their bitter loss to the Cowboys, Bill Belichick is unlikely to be satisfied with anything less than a daylight win over a despised rival.

3 keys for Bears to upset Bucs and final score prediction

Despite only putting up 14 points against the Packers, you can see the Bears offense showing steady progress with Justin Fields leading the way. The run game is cooking, the pass game is generating more chunk plays, and the red zone offense has been more productive. But what it’s lacked is consistency. Against some teams in the NFL, a few good drives and a few splash plays may be enough to eke out a win. But this week the Bears are playing the defending champs, and they’ll need to do much more than that to pull off the upset on the road.

Ferocious Edge-Rush Duo Leads Bears Defense into Tampa

At the heart of the Chicago Bears' franchise history is the Monsters of the Midway, Dick Butkus, Brian Urlacher – a whole lot of punishing defenses, that is – Sweetness, the Super Bowl Shuffle and a seemingly inescapable cycle of misery at quarterback. In 2021 the Bears are riding yet another ferocious 'D' into contention…but may also be introducing the man who can stop that spinning QB cycle.

Injury Update: Bears, Buccaneers both depleted

When the Bears visit the Buccaneers Sunday in Tampa, neither team will be close to full strength. Bears coach Matt Nagy announced Friday that tight end Jimmy Graham was being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, joining running back Damien Williams and outside linebacker Robert Quinn. The Bears also ruled veteran...

Bears-Buccaneers Injury Report Oct. 21: O.J. Howard Returns to Practice

The Buccaneers had just two changes to their injury report on Thursday, one of them being good news for the offense. Tight end O.J. Howard, who missed Wednesday's practice, returned in a limited capacity as he battles through an ankle injury. Defensive lineman Steve McLendon had a veteran day off.
