Cloverleaf Plaintiffs May Have to Post $50,000 Bond

TRURO — A group of residents who have filed suit to block the Cloverleaf affordable housing development at 22 Highland Road in North Truro may be required to post a $50,000 bond with the Land Court to cover the extra expenditures their appeal is requiring of the town and the project developer.

Progress on 8 Affordable Units First Proposed in 2006

WELLFLEET — Developer Ted Malone will be able to meet the Oct. 30 pre-application deadline to seek funding in 2022 for his plan to build eight units of affordable housing on Paine Hollow Road. The plan was first proposed in 2006 but was repeatedly derailed, in part by abutters’ lawsuits.

Court Decision Clears Way For Lyberty Green Housing Development

A recent court decision has cleared the way for the Lyberty Green housing development to be built on East Main Street. On September 23, Barnstable Superior Court Judge Gregg J. Pasquale affirmed the Massachusetts Housing Appeals Committee’s decision that the appeals board must issue a new comprehensive permit. The decision came after the ZBA sought a judicial review of the housing appeals committee’s decision.
