21-22 Season Farewell Performances

Over the 21-22 Season, New York City Ballet will bid adieu to six principal dancers who have amused and enthralled scores of audiences in recent decades. We hope you'll join us in celebrating Abi Stafford (SEPT 26), Lauren Lovette (OCT 9 mat), Ask la Cour (OCT 9 eve), Maria Kowroski (OCT 17), Gonzalo Garcia (FEB 27), and Amar Ramasar (MAY 29). Due to expected high demand, orders for Maria Kowroski's farewell are limited to two tickets per household.

New York City Ballet MOVES to perform ballet masterpieces in Vail Saturday

Ballet masterpieces come to life at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in the second evening of performances of the 32nd season of the Vail Dance Festival. Returning to the Festival after nearly a decade, New York City Ballet MOVES will present a program of two classics by Jerome Robbins and George Balanchine, followed by a contemporary masterwork by Alexei Ratmansky. Launched at the 2011 Vail Dance Festival, MOVES is the dynamic touring arm of the world-famous New York City Ballet with a specialty in showcasing chamber works from their legendary and history-making repertory.

A dancer with the Boston Ballet filed a lawsuit on Wednesday, July 28, accusing the husband of a former Boston Ballet dancer of sexually assaulting and emotionally abusing her while she was an apprentice in the company. The lawsuit also implicates the defendant’s wife, who was then a principal ballerina in the Boston Ballet, in the abuse.
