Four Red Sox prospects land on Baseball America’s top 100 list

The Boston Red Sox are coming off a definitively successful season at the major-league level, making it all the way to the ALCS. But in addition to the run at the highest level, they continued the building up of their farm system and making it perhaps the most improved in all of baseball. Last season at this time, Boston had a pair of prospects in the middle portion of top 100 lists (Triston Casas and Jeter Downs) and a couple more who were borderline cases (Bobby Dalbec and Jarren Duran).

2022 Oakland Athletics Top 5 Prospects

The Oakland A’s missed the playoffs for the first time since 2017 this season and only the fourth time in the last 10 years. Their consistency has come from a continually solid farm system as they don’t spend much money on free agents. However, they haven’t had much success in the postseason, making it to the ALCS just once since 1993. Oakland doesn’t have any Top-40 prospects right now, but many of them are close to the big leagues. Let’s take a look at how the Top 5 shakes out.

Five Thoughts About The State Of The Astros

It's hard to believe, but it's been only two years since the trajectory of the Astros franchise was altered forever, thanks to the sign-stealing scandal punishment. In summary, Jeff Luhnow and AJ Hinch were suspended by MLB then promptly fired by Jim Crane. $5 million in fines and the loss of four draft picks (2 first round, 2 second round) also followed. No players were suspended, and the 2017 title — now tainted — remained in Houston. Whether you believed it was enough or not, the punishment was handed down, and the organization was left in a dark place.

Everything we know about Carson Wentz's future with Colts

The Indianapolis Colts have a big offseason awaiting them and with that comes a massive decision on what to do with quarterback Carson Wentz. The 29-year-old quarterback was extremely volatile throughout the 2021 season. Even on a per-play basis, we never truly knew which player the Colts were getting. At some points, it could be argued that not even Wentz himself knew what to expect on any given play.
