CONCERT REVIEW: West Stockbridge Chamber Players 10th anniversary concert

WEST STOCKBRIDGE — A capacity crowd filled Vaber Hall on Sunday, Oct. 10 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the West Stockbridge Chamber Players benefit concerts, which fund restoration efforts on the Old Town Hall. It was an afternoon of firsts. In a rare musical alignment, the audience was treated to the world premiere of “A Place in Time” by West Stockbridge’s own Eric Shimelonis — a community leader, composer, conductor, and multi-instrumentalist whose work has been heard at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and Tanglewood, among other major musical venues.
