Tractor-Trailer Ran Over and Killed a Motorcyclist Who Was Just Hit into by a Florida Trooper

A tractor-trailer ran over and killed a 52-year-old male motorcyclist who was hit into by a Florida trooper in Polk County on Monday night, Florida Highway Patrol said. FHP Public Affairs Officer Sgt. Steve Gaskins told Law&Crime that a 30-year-old trooper from Tampa entered the lane that a Harley-Davidson was traveling in and hit the bike while trying to help workers shut down a lane for construction. This ejected the motorcyclist onto SR-400 (I-4) and into the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer, which was driven by a 25-year-old from Darlington, South Carolina. The tractor-trailer ran over the motorcyclist, killing him.

Florida Man Ditches Girlfriend Jumps in River to Evade Arrest

Was he escaping the cops or her as this Florida Man Edward A. Sotelo, 51, jumped into a river to escape police and give up shortly after. Around 2 PM Daytona Beach Police were tailing the suspect with a federal warrant for violation of probation and robbery. When Sotelo noticed that he was being pursued, he tried to flee, ramming to sheriff’s vehicles speeding towards a mobile home park. Once in the park, Sotelo ditches his vehicle and the girl he was with and jumps into the river. According to officials, Sotelo attempted to swim for at least 15 minutes before giving up and climbing into a U.S Coast Guard Boat.
