Braves: Braden Shewmake has caught fire

The Braves’ two 2019 first-round picks, Shea Langeliers and Braden Shewmake, went in opposite directions to start the 2021 campaign — their first full professional season because of COVID. Langeliers rocketed up several Top 100 prospect lists after terrorizing AA pitching. He’s yet to stop; after two more homers a couple of days ago, he’s now up to 17 on the season to go along with his excellent defense behind the plate. If he keeps this up, it shouldn’t be too long before he receives a promotion to AAA, and we could see him in the majors as early as next season. Shewmake, on the other hand, couldn’t have started 2021 any slower.

Braves: Ranking the top five prospects that could be valuable trade chips at the deadline (Pitchers)

No matter what happens in this series against the Mets, I think the Braves will look to buy at the deadline. Because of injuries, they need a lot of help in their lineup, on the bench, and in the bullpen. Thankfully, the Braves should be getting Travis d’Arnaud and Huascar Ynoa back in August so that some help will be on the way even without a trade. Ian Anderson is also nearing a return. Personally, I could see Ynoa or Muller moving to a bullpen role when the rotation starts to get healthy. I’m in favor of that. Even if these guys are long-term starters, let them get some innings under their belts and pitch the best 13 guys you have. This is part one featuring pitchers. Part two will feature bats, so be on the lookout for that.

Gasoline Prices Remain High And Could Go Higher, But There’s A Catch

Following seven months of rapid increase throughout 2021, the average price for gasoline at the pump in the U.S. hit a plateau over the past week. AAA reports the average nationwide price per gallon of regular gas on July 29 was $3.166, just 7/10ths of a cent above the July 22 price. It’s a dynamic that consumers would love to see continue as the summer driving season comes to an end in the coming few weeks.

PlayStation Plus and Games with Gold for August 2021 Announced - IGN Daily Fix

In today's episode, both PlayStation and Microsoft have revealed the free games you're getting if you subscriber to either company's online platforms. On Xbox Games with Gold, you're getting Darksiders III, Yooka-Laylee, Lost Planet 3, and Garou: Mark of the Wolves (which gamers in-the-know will know that it's part of the Fatal Fury series). For PlayStation Plus subscribers, you can download Hunter's Arena: Legends, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, and Tennis World Tour 2. And speaking of PlayStation and Xbox, both companies have been posting record sales for their hardware in recent months. That's great news, and also partly explains why they're so hard to find: every unit made is sold. Well, hopefully most of those units aren't going to scalpers. And finally, veterans of The Last of Us, Destiny, God of War, and other big AAA franchises have banded together to form a new game development company, That's No Moon Studios. And they've got the support of Korean game publisher Smilegate, which infused the company with a $100-million-dollar investment. Wow. Now let's see some games. It's your Daily Fix! TAGS.

AEW Dynamite: MJF Announces Juventud Guerrera as Chris Jericho's Next Opponent

Chris Jericho's "Labors of Jericho" raged on during AEW Fight for the Fallen this week, as "Le Champion" managed to beat Nick Gage in a No Rules Match to get one step closer to fighting MJF. Unfortunately, MJF had yet another ace of his sleeve. Friedman grabbed a microphone and showed a flashback from a November 2019 episode of Dynamite, where Jericho casually mentioned his classic WCW matches with Juventud Guerrera (prompting MJF to shout "Who the heck is Juve?!"). Friedman then announced Jericho would have to face his old rival as the next Labor, and he'd have to nail a move from the top rope in order to win the match.

He is one of Britain's youngest ever Olympic champions but Cecil Griffiths died in poverty, so much so he was laid to rest in an unmarked grave. Griffiths was just 20 when he triumphed in the 4x400m relay at the 1920 Antwerp Games and one headline screamed he was 'The Best Runner Wales has Produced'.

Be wary of vehicles' 'miles-to-empty' estimates

ATLANTA — Drivers could be taking an unnecessary risk if they over-rely on fuel economy displays. AAA tested the accuracy of in-vehicle fuel systems that measure fuel economy and range (miles-to-empty). Collectively, the systems tested were relatively accurate, but a closer examination of different driving scenarios revealed significant variability based on changes in speed, acceleration and distance.
