Several holiday-themed events are happening this weekend in Northern California. Here’s a round-up if you’re looking for things to do. The Tuolomne County town of Sonora will host its 38th annual Christmas parade on Friday. Thousands of people line Washington Street for the nighttime parade that features cars and floats decorated in lights. Marching bands and dancers also participate. Wanted Railroad Flat man arrested after pursuit near Mountain Ranch, booked on multiple felony charges

Jakob Main, 42, of Railroad Flat, was arrested by the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office on the evening of Nov. 23, near Mountain Ranch, after a multi-agency pursuit. Amador County sheriff’s officers and K9 deputies, as well as a California Highway Patrol helicopter, assisted in detaining Main after he fled on foot. Main, who was wanted on two warrants, was booked on several charges related to the pursuit as well as prior cases.

A 3,787-square-foot house built in 2001 has changed hands. The roomy property located in the 5200 block of Breese Circle in El Dorado Hills was sold on November 1, 2021. The $1,700,000 purchase price works out to $449 per square foot. The property features four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a garage, and one parking space, as well as a pool in the backyard. The production has been in rehearsal for nearly two years, having been postponed and rescheduled several times due to pandemic restrictions. The Not So Weekly Daley: Thanks to spare

Yesterday was a good day to give thanks for any number of people, things, events, thoughts, inventions and advances that make our lives better. Beginning with several recent events and other past experiences, I’m thankful that, most of the time, most of the people on the roads and especially highways pay attention and drive pretty safely. A ride to and from Sacramento Airport for a trip to Mexico two weeks ago down and back a week later raised that notion in my mind. We didn’t see any accidents nor even close calls.
