DaBaby 'Levitating' Remix Yanked by Radio Programmers After Homophobic Remarks

On Aug. 2, just 49.5% of the radio audience for Dua Lipa's "Levitating" was for the remix featuring DaBaby - down from 70.2% a week earlier. Dua Lipa wasn't the only one "horrified" by DaBaby's remarks about people with HIV and AIDS at last week's Rolling Loud festival in Miami. Radio programmers who play the pop star's music have stripped the rapper from the air over the past 10 days, shifting to Lipa's solo version of top five smash "Levitating" that was released in March 2020 with her Future Nostalgia album rather than the DaBaby remix that dropped last October and has become a smash hit.
