Gooding man faces felony meth, mushroom charges

A Gooding man is facing two felony and two misdemeanor drug charges following a traffic stop in Ketchum last week. Justin Thomas Ray Kolsen, 43, was pulled over by Blaine County Sheriff deputies the evening of Sept. 13 at the intersection of state Highway 75 and Serenade Lane. He was subsequently arrested and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of psilocybin mushrooms with the intent to deliver, misdemeanor possession of marijuana of less than 3 ounces and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Big Wood fish survey yields surprises

A survey of fish populations on Friday in the Big Wood River where it flows through Hailey showed that brown trout outnumber the rainbows there. The study of the Hailey stretch of the river is part of a larger fish count by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game that will continue through the end of the month and include reaches of the Big Wood at Gimlet and farther north in the Boulder Mountains.

David Lowell Henry was born in Deadwood, South Dakota on January 5, 1939 to Chester and Mamie Henry. He passed away on September 8, 2021, in Buhl, Idaho. As a child David moved with his family to Seattle where they lived in the Rainier Beach area. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1957. After high school he joined the U.S. Army.
