$22.7 Million Announced in Federal Transit Grants for Decatur, Springfield

August 10, 2022 – U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis (IL-13) announced that Decatur and Springfield have received a combined $22.7M in federal grant funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Transit Administration (FTA). The funding comes through the Low-No Grant Program and Grants for Buses and Bus Facilities Competitive Program. The Decatur Public Transit System will receive $16,840,000 and the Sangamon Mass Transit District will receive $5,927,788.

DECATUR Ill. (WAND) — A 29-year-old Decatur man who pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a child was sentenced to 44 years in prison on Wednesday. Police arrested Jesus Z. Domini last August after he was accused of showing adult pornography to a child and sexually abusing her about 50 times over an eight month period.
