Two arrests in the area counties are in the report from the Missouri Highway Patrol. Tuesday at 1:55 pm in Sullivan County, Troopers arrested 59-year-old Clarence W Coursey of Humphreys for alleged DWI with alcohol – persistent offender, driving while suspended, speeding, no insurance, and no seatbelt. He was processed and released.

A precautionary boil advisory has been issued by the Sullivan County Public Water Supply District following a water main break. Affected are rural water customers on Vista Road, Vernon Road, Walker Road, and Dogwood Drive. These customers will remain under the precautionary boil water advisory until further notice from the office in Milan.

Because of water system maintenance work, some customers within the Sullivan County Public Water Supply District have been placed on a precautionary boil advisory. The advisory will continue until further notice for rural water customers on Route E, west of Highway 139 into Mercer County. Also included are those along Juke Box Street, Meadow Road, the town of Harris, and Highway 139 south of Route E to Manor Drive.

Two accidents in the area counties resulted in four with minor or moderate injuries over the weekend. Saturday at about 1:00 pm an accident on Missouri 129 near Green City, a two-vehicle accident left one driver with moderate injuries. State Troopers report 25-year-old Jerold M Robertson of Branson was taken to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital following the accident. The report states Roberston was attempting to pass a tractor, driven by 53-year-old Timothy S Harrelson of Milan. Harrelson had slowed to make a left turn and the tractor was struck by the Robertson vehicle. Harrelson was not injured.

A single-vehicle accident early Thursday morning near New Boston, left the driver and passenger injured. State Troopers in Sullivan County report that 20-year-old Cason D Baker of Lancaster had moderate injuries and 23-year-old Mariah A Farr of Kirksville had minor injuries following the accident on Highway 11. At about 1:10 am, Cason was northbound and attempted to avoid a deer. The report states he ran off the left side of the road and the pick-up overturned. They were both taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center for treatment.

NEW BOSTON, MO – Two injured occupants were reported in a single-vehicle accident six miles north of New Boston early Thursday morning. Highway Patrol responded to Route 11 in Sullivan County to the scene of a rollover crash involving a vehicle that attempted to avoid a deer in the roadway. The pickup driven by Cason Barker, 20, slid and overturned of the west side of the road.

Two area drivers were injured in unrelated accidents investigated by the Missouri Highway Patrol over the weekend. Saturday at about 12:30 pm in Gentry County, a Chula man, 25-year-old Christain S Nelson, had moderate injuries in an accident on 1st Street in Stanberry. According to the report, Nelson was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alanthus Street and was following a vehicle driven by 54-year-old Randall B Nester of Kansas City. Nelson struck the side of the Nester vehicle as Nester was attempting to make a turn. Nester was not injured. Nelson was taken to Grand River Regional Hospital.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 49-year-old Carrie Howard in Sullivan County. Howard was accused of felony possession of methamphetamine, driving while intoxicated, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license. State Troopers report one accident and two arrests in the area counties Monday. A Wheeling man was injured in an accident that occurred as he was passing another vehicle. State Troopers report the accident happened on US 36, 2 miles east of Chillicothe at about 12:55 pm Monday. According to the report, 29-year-old Justin T Haddakin of Wheeling was eastbound and attempting to pass a semi, driven by 63-year-old Marvin A Tolle of Trenton. He ran into the back of the trailer and then went into the median. Haddakin was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Tolle was not injured.
