Sedalia Police Reports for July 27, 2021

This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department reports. Early Tuesday morning, Officers were dispatched to a reported disturbance with a weapon in the 200 block of South Missouri. Officers were advised the suspect had left the area in a vehicle. Officers were able to stop the vehicle a few blocks away. James Don Richmond, 39, of Independence, was arrested and formal charges are being requested from the prosecutor's office for Assault in the 3rd Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Armed Criminal Action.

Warsaw Woman Injured in Two-truck Crash

A Warsaw woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Monday afternoon in Benton County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2000 Ford F-250, driven by 51-year-old William R. Sands of Edwards, attempted to make a turn and struck a northbound 2006 Dodge Ram, driven by 50-year-old Brenda L. Rains of Warsaw.

COURT PROCEEDING SET FOR HUGHESVILLE MAN CHARGED WITH DOMESTIC ASSAULT

A Hughesville man charged with felonies after a reported incident on July 5 has a court proceeding set for this week. Pettis County deputies located a bleeding victim who advised the alleged assailant was William Mulcrone, who had fled the area as the deputies arrived. FELONY CHARGES FILED AGAINST SEDALIA WOMAN AFTER EXECUTION OF SEARCH WARRANT

Formal charges have been filed against Sedalia woman who was arrested as result of the execution of a search warrant on April 22. During execution of the warrant, authorities say there were five juvenile children present in the home; all of whom were released to family members after a hotline report was made to Division of Family Services. Approximately two ounces of methamphetamine, paraphernalia and a stolen vehicle (reported stolen to the Sedalia Police Department earlier in the week) were recovered.

Sedalia Man Injured in One-vehicle JoCo Rollover

A Sedalia man was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Saturday night in Johnson County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 1994 Ford Ranger, driven by Leovigildo Marcos Lazaro of Sedalia, was on Route D, north of Route V at 7:55 p.m., when it traveled off the roadway, then back on the road. The driver then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn. The driver was ejected and the Ford came to rest off the west side of the road.
