Washington State Patrol complete investigation into fatal Highway 395 crash, determine cause

The Washington State Patrol have completed their investigation into a fatal crash on Highway 395 that claimed the lives of three teenagers on Monday. WSP confirms that the sedan carrying 17-year-old Chance Wilbur and 19-year-olds Jasmine Cogswell and Jordan Walker crossed the center line into the southbound lanes, and collided head-on with the Stevens County fire truck about a mile and a half north of Clayton.

DNR expands fire restrictions in Eastern Washington as dry conditions worsen

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Washington Department of Resources is expanding burn restrictions beginning on Friday as the state’s landscape dries and wildfire risk increases. Permit burning is not allowed in the following areas: Highlands, Kaniksu, Methow, Upper Basin and Valley.
