Doll, Long to Hold Legislative Update in Hugoton Saturday

The Hugoton Chamber of Commerce, Stevens County Economic Development and Stevens County Farm Bureau Association will be hosting a Legislative Update Beginning at 3:00pm on Saturday May 21st at the Senior Center in Hugoton. Firefighters assist police in attempt to apprehend suspect

Members of the Stevens County Fire Department assisted in the capture of a suspect by the Hugoton Police Department last Sunday following a traffic stop in Hugoton. HPD issued a press release saying April 17, an officer with the department initiated a traffic stop in the 400 block of South Van Buren Street.

A Hooker, Okla., man was arrested on a warrant and charged with multiple crimes following a recent traffic stop in Hugoton. Hugoton Police Make Drug Arrests

On November 15th. the Hugoton Police Department executed a search warrant for known fugitive Roper Robinett at 515 W. 7th Street in Hugoton. Officers located Ms. Robinett hiding inside the residence. An additional search warrant was executed at this location for drugs and drug paraphernalia. A substantial amount of Methamphetamine and marijuana were removed from the residence along with a large amount of drug paraphernalia. An affidavit has been forwarded to the Stevens County Attorney for the following charges:
