Two Dead, One Hospitalized in Separate Minnesota Water Incidents

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Authorities say two people drowned and a child who was found unresponsive in a pool was hospitalized in three separate incidents in Minnesota on Saturday. Washington officials say 46-year-old Chandra Mohan Laghuvaram, of Plymouth, was swimming in the St. Croix River when he went under for reasons that aren’t clear. Medics unsuccessfully tried to revive him.

St. Cloud woman accused of strangling man while he was sleeping

ST. CLOUD — A St. Cloud woman is accused of strangling a man while he was sleeping, according to a Stearns County criminal complaint. Tanisha Renay Sullivan, 24, is charged with one felony count of domestic assault by strangulation and two misdemeanor counts of domestic assault. Sullivan made her first appearance in court Friday.

Man wanted for Sartell shooting arrested in Morrison County

A man wanted in connection with a late May shooting in Stearns County was arrested near Hillman, June 3. According to a statement by the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, Trenell Earl Rogers, 34, Moose Lake, was taken into custody when he was located at a home at 17589 Ranch Road in Leigh Township, about 2.5 miles northwest of Hillman. The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office, Morrison County SWAT Team, Pierz Police Department, Pierz Fire and Rescue and Central Minnesota Violent Offenders Task Force all assisted in carrying out the warrant that led to Rogers’ arrest.
