Fazoli's opening in Dublin, Virginia

Fazoli's is opening next week in Dublin, marking its first southwest Virginia location and second in the state. Located at 4416 Cleburne Blvd., next to the Pulaski County Tourism Center, the restaurant is under the direction of franchisee Kevin Young and Brian Spencer of CCCKY, according to a press release.

Virginia Tech CB Cam Johnson Pushing For Playing Time as a True Freshman

Cam Johnson was one of Virginia Tech's crown jewel recruits in their 2022 class as a consensus four-star recruit who had double-digit Power 5 offers coming out of high school. He entered a CB room full of talent with Dorian Strong leading the way plus quality veterans like Armani Chatman and Brion Murray along with another talented young standout in redshirt freshman DJ Harvey. That put odds of Johnson being an instant impact freshman quite low even with the pedigree he brought to the table.

Boyer hired as Blacksburg Public Works Director

The Town of Blacksburg has hired John Boyer to serve as its Director of Public Works, following Kelly Mattingly’s retirement in August. Boyer began his career with the Town of Blacksburg in 2006, as Horticulturist and Certified Arborist. During this time he directed the daily activities of the horticulture and grounds field crews, created landscape designs for public gardens and outdoor spaces, supervised collection services and snow removal, and led Blacksburg’s urban forestry program. Most notable during this time was his project to design and construct the town’s tree nursery, which to date has grown over 1000 trees for planting in town parks and other properties.

Bethlehem Farm aids residents with home repairs

A local non-profit organization is helping low-income homeowners to complete vital home repairs. The volunteers at Bethlehem Farm provide services in parts of Summers, Monroe and Greenbrier Counties. Recently, a project brought them to Talcott in Summers County. According to Colleen Fitts, Home Repair Team, "Bethlehem Farm works to be a good neighbor to those in our community by lending a hand with essential home repairs." Dublin residents see major spikes in utility bill rates

DUBLIN, Va. (WFXR) — Residents in a Pulaski County town — including one over the age of 80 — are expressing concerns about their increased utility bill rates. According to reports, the truck lost control around 2 pm when it was driving North on US-23 then attempted to turn right onto Pittsburg road where the driver overturned and rolled on its side.
