18-year-old dies in collision on U.S. 176 near West Main Street just south of Pacolet

An 18-year-old died in a collision Monday evening on U.S. 176 near West Main Street, south of Pacolet, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. A Nissan was traveling west on U.S. 176 while a Honda was traveling east. The driver of the Honda disregarded a traffic signal and turned northbound striking the Nissan in the intersection, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
