18-year-old dies in collision on U.S. 176 near West Main Street just south of Pacolet

An 18-year-old died in a collision Monday evening on U.S. 176 near West Main Street, south of Pacolet, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. A Nissan was traveling west on U.S. 176 while a Honda was traveling east. The driver of the Honda disregarded a traffic signal and turned northbound striking the Nissan in the intersection, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Wellford police arrest man after chase near US-29

WELLFORD, SC (FOX Carolina)- Wellford police say they arrested a suspect after a chase took place on Tuesday near US-29. According to WPD, officers spotted a car that had been seen at several abandoned homes across Wellford. When officers tried to initiate a traffic stop, the suspect fled but soon wrecked near Ace Hardware before taking off on foot, police say.

They try to get as much money out of customers as possible by threatening to disconnect their power for an overdue bill if they don’t pay a certain amount of money.

Injured driver freed from car fire – Augusta Rd.

South Greenville firefighters complete their work at a fiery wreck last Thursday afternoon (July 22). It happened near the intersection of Augusta Road and Garrison Road. A vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree and caught fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and then had to free the driver from the wreckage before he was flown to Greenville Memorial Hospital.
