Michigan man dies after contact with downed live wire

HILLSDALE COUNTY, Mich. (FOX 2) - A man died Tuesday morning after having contact with a downed live wire, Michigan State Police said. Police responded to the 2000 block of Chicago Road in Hilldale County's Scipio Township around 8 a.m. They found a 28-year-old Jonesville man dead from the power line. Police said he lived nearby.

HILLSDALE COUNTY, Mich. (WILX) - One man is dead after being electrocuted in Scipio Township on Chicago Road. On Tuesday morning, a 28-year-old man who lived in the area died on the scene after touching a live down power line. A second person, a 25-year-old woman from Jonesville was found injured at the scene and was air lifted to the hospital.

City of Adrian: Riverview Terrace Apartment Building Repairs Could Take a ‘Number of Months’

Adrian, MI – The City of Adrian sent out a press release late last week to update the public on the latest with the Riverview Terrace Apartments situation. They said that the task of evaluating the structural integrity of the building has been referred to a more specialized engineering firm. The firm continues to analyze the situation. Indications are that absent substantial repairs, the building will not be ready for re-occupancy. Needed repairs will take a number of months, if not longer.

CHELSEA, MI -- Chelsea’s Fresh Air Market is planning to bring sales and other events to downtown Chelsea from Friday, Aug. 19, to Saturday, Aug. 20. The two-day event will start at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, and local merchants will have different deals and sales set up inside and outside of their stores.
