State Bar seizes law firm’s offices in Santa Barbara, Goleta

The State Bar of California has shut down a law practice with offices in Santa Barbara and Goleta because its owners were not licensed to practice law in the state. National Family Solutions had offices in Los Angeles as well as in Santa Barbara County, and claimed to provide “low-cost” legal services to self-represented litigants through a “provider network of attorneys and other legal professionals,” the State Bar said in a Dec. 1 news release. The firm was owned by Eric Campbell and Anita Youabian, neither of whom has a license to practice law in California, the State Bar said.
