ATV accident claims the life of a Menomonee Falls woman

Jennifer L Kaine, age 51, of Menomonee Falls, Wis., and Adam G. Gauckler, age 38, of Caledonia, Wis., were riding a 2021 Polaris ATV, traveling southbound on a public ATV trail west of County Rd. B in the Township of Harrison, on Saturday, Sept. 11, when Gauckler lost control. The ATV hit a tree and rolled, and both Kaine and Gauckler were ejected from the ATV, according to a press release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department. Kaine was flown to an area hospital where she died from her injuries. Gauckler sustained non-life threatening injuries. Neither were wearing helmets, all according to the release.

Motorcyclist killed in crash on city's south side

MILWAUKEE - A teen is dead following a motorcycle crash on the city's south side Friday night, Sept. 17. Police responded to the scene near 35th and Hayes around 9:45 p.m. The victim, a 17-year-old Milwaukee male, sustained fatal injuries after crashing his motorcycle into a parked car. Milwaukee COVID positivity rises, now 'high'

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Health Department (MHD) on Friday, Sept. 17 reported slight increases to COVID-19 trends for the preceding week. According to MHD, the city saw 277.6 cases per 100,000 people. The case burden is up from the previous week's 254.5 cases per 100,000. The gating criteria remains in the "extreme transmission" category.
