Dad Always Said "Invest In The Community"

Serena Kringen, Sidney, remembers her dad's (Randy) exact words, "Invest in the community", which she has chosen to do by purchasing the Yellowstone building Sept. 8. "I'm very excited," she smiles. Kringen grew up in the construction business by watching her dad and owning MonDak Doors. She has chosen to bring back the original brick walls and wood floors where she can and return it to its historic decor. She always had a special place in her heart shopping for clothing, shoes and watching the zip line (which is still intact) go up and down at the "Merc". She graduated from Sidney High School and attended college at UND and then moved back home.

New Playground Equipment Coming Soon To Sidney Boys & Girls Club

Since 2004, the Richland County unit of the Boys & Girls Club of the MonDak has been a safe and fun place for kids in Richland County to spend their time after school and on Fridays. Through the gifts of time and money from those in the community they have been able to have several changes to make the program better for the kids. Now, another gift will be changing their program for the better.

Sidney Lions Club Donation To Quillings' Children's Park

The Sidney Lions Club members gathered together to present an $8000 check to assist the City of Sidney with their renovations of the children's parks in the city. Stephanie Rid, City of Sidney park superintendent, has completed upgrades to Hanson Park, Peterson Park, Johnson Park and now Quillings' Park. Sidney-Richland County Library Holds Meeting to Discuss Funding Needs

The Sidney-Richland County Library held an event dubbed "Montana Libraries: Unprecedented Times, Unprecedented Opportunities" on Sept 12 in the library basement. Representatives from the Montana Library Association and the Montana Trust for Libraries met with Richland County leaders and library board members to discuss the importance of renewing and expanding state aid for Montana libraries. State aid helps to fund downloadable ebooks and audiobooks; online access to Montana historical and cultural materials; and the statewide catalog used by 249 libraries to access 3.5 million shareable titles to be exchanged among participating library locations.

HarvestFest 2022 At MonDak Heritage Center Oct. 8

Tickets are now on sale at the MonDak Heritage Center for the return of HarvestFest on Saturday Oct. 8. Purchase your tickets before they sell out and join us for HarvestFest, a fun filled evening of seasonal beer tasting, Redneck Brats, and entertainment. As always for the non-beer drinkers, there will be wine, punch or apple cider available. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the entertainment scheduled to commence at 7 p.m. on Saturday Oct. 8.

Meadowlark Brewing Opens Second Brewery and Enters Spirits with New Distillery

SIDNEY, Montana – Montana’s Meadowlark Brewing will soon be slinging its own cocktails along with its brews at a new second location. The Sidney, Montana-based brewery opened Meadowlark Brewing and Spirits last month; a brewery, distillery and restaurant in Billings West End. The facility features 28 taps, and later this year will house the company’s first handcrafted spirits program.
