Prince George’s County Police respond to homicide

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. (WDVM) — Prince George’s County Police are responding to a homicide in Fort Washington that took place Tuesday afternoon. Police said that they responded around 4:00 p.m. to the 400 block of Bentwood Drive for the report of a shooting, where officers found a man who had been shot outside. The man was then taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Baltimore County Man Arrested in Glen Burnie, Charged With Handgun Violation

A Baltimore County man was arrested in Glen Burnie and charged with a handgun violation, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department. On July 19, 2021 at approximately 10:04 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a white Audi A4 at Green Branch Lane and Winding Wood Road in Glen Burnie. The officer observed suspected CDS in the vehicle and a search of the vehicle revealed a loaded 9mm G2c Taurus handgun with 20 rounds in an extended magazine on the front passenger seat.

Odenton 7-Eleven Employee Accused of Assaulting, Attempting to Stab a Customer

The employee of a 7-Eleven Store in Odenton was arrested after being accused of assaulting and attempting to stab a customer. On July 20, 2021 at approximately 12:07 a.m., officers responded for an assault at the 7-Eleven located in the 1300 block of Odenton Road for a report of an assault. Upon arrival, a customer stated that during a dispute with an employee, the employee physically grabbed him and pushed him out of the store. The employee then allegedly produced a knife from his pocket and attempted to stab the customer. There were no injuries.

Severna Park Man Arrested in Connection With Child Sex Abuse at The YWCA in Arnold

Child abuse detectives with the Anne Arundel County Police Department have arrested a Severna Park man in connection with the sexual assault of a child at the YWCA in Arnold. On March 15, 2021, detectives received a referral from the Department of Social Services in regards to a sex offense involving a child. Further investigation revealed that a childcare associate at the “Y”, located in the 1200 block of Ritchie Highway, Arnold, Maryland was located in a room supervising multiple children. Surveillance footage displayed the childcare associate sitting on the floor with a child on his lap. The video went on to show the child care associate, identified as Vincent Santiago Dominick, a twenty-three year old male from the six hundred block of Cypress Road, Severna Park, Maryland, engaged in unwanted sexual contact with the child.

DeAllen Price of District Heights Indicted For Allegedly Killing Transgender Woman, Tavahn Ashton

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. (WJZ) — A District Heights man was indicted and charged with allegedly killing a 20-year-old transgender woman this month, Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy said in a statement. DeAllen Price, 27, was charged with murder, armed robbery, two counts of use of a firearm during a violent crime and firearm possession with a felony conviction, according to the statement. Prince George’s County Police identified Price as a suspect in Tavahn Ashton’s death after reviewing cell phone records and other information. Ashton was shot and pronounced dead in her apartment in the 2300 block of Brooks Drive when officers arrived just before 10 p.m. July 17, Members of the State’s Attorneys LGBTQIA+ Task Force were present when Braveboy announced the indictment in a press conference. The task force is the first in Prince George’s County dedicated to advocating for access to resources, equal rights, fair treatment and non-discrimination protections for this community. Its members work with a wide range of progressive partner organizations across the county to ensure that the issues directly impacting the LGBTQIA+ community are put at the forefront and addressed.
