(SAINT JOSEPH, MO) Gas prices vary across in the Saint Joseph area, but if you’re willing to head for the cheapest station, you could be saving up to $0.14 per gallon. US Oil at 601 S 22Nd St was the cheapest station in the area, according to a survey by GasBuddy, with regular listed at $2.85 per gallon Wednesday. By comparison, the most expensive gallon was at Sinclair at 1704 Mitchell Ave, where a gallon of regular was selling for $2.99.

Missouri Western found itself in a unique position Saturday - they were ahead by double-digits at halftime. It was the first time the Griffons led at the break all season. "We got together (at halftime) and said, 'Alright. We have to keep swinging,'" Missouri Western head coach Matt Williamson said. "'This is the second round. Dragons drop Scotties with strong defense, ground game

HIGHLAND, Kan. -- The Blue Dragons came away with 11 sacks Saturday afternoon and got another strong performance from Anwar Lewis to come away victorious in Highland. It is the first Hutchinson win in Highland since 2012. The Blue Dragons (3-3) had lost three straight games in Highland (1-5) before Saturday's 20-7 victory.

Savannah Driver Cited With DWI After Roll-Over Accident

A Savannah driver was cited for driving while intoxicated after overturning his pickup in an accident Thursday evening one mile west of Helena. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 49-year old Ryan Evans received moderate injuries after his vehicle overturned and struck a fence on Route V east of US-169.

HIGHLAND – Anwar Lewis' name is starting to float around the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. Why? His quick feet and speed has him moving up the Blue Dragons football career rushing list, which he did in Saturday's 20-7 win over the Highland Scotties in Highland. Savannah Man Injured In Single Vehicle Crash, Cited For DUI

49 year old Ryan L Evans of Savannah crashed Thursday night in Andrew County. Evans was westbound on Route V, 1 mile west of Helena, when he crossed the center line, traveled off the roadway, overturned and struck a fence. He was taken by Andrew County Ambulance to Mosaic Life Care in St Joseph. Evans was cited for driving while intoxicated.

Dale and Jenny Stinnett celebrate 70 years!

Dale and Jenny (Vaughn) Stinnett are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary on Oct. 20, 2021. They were married Oct. 20, 1951, in Amazonia, Missouri. Dale and Jenny have three daughters, Jennifer and Bill Spalding, Janice and Jim Sweet, Jolene and Chuck Hornbeck, and one son, Bob and Trish Stinnett.
