Dirt bike accident sends man to Upstate Medical Center

On Sept. 11 around 9 p.m. Seneca County Sheriff’s responded to an address in the Town of Fayette following the report of an accident involving a dirt bike. After investigating it was discovered that Cole Short, 18, of Fayette, was riding on the property when he struck a piece of farm equipment.

Judge makes rulings in Waterloo murder case

WATERLOO — Most of the statements made to law enforcement by a local man accused of killing his wife can be used at his trial, which is slated for early December. During a conference Monday in the case of John Gray III, Seneca County Judge Barry Porsch also ruled that all the search warrants state police obtained in the case are valid, meaning all the evidence collected can be used at Gray’s trial, which is scheduled to begin Dec. 6.

NYC woman dies in three-vehicle crash in Seneca County

One passenger is dead and two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash in the town of Waterloo, Seneca County, on Friday. The New York State Police said the crash occurred on Brewer Road and Route 96. A vehicle was traveling northbound on Brewer Road when it failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a dump truck heading west on Route 96. After the vehicle was hit by the dump truck, it struck another vehicle that was stopped on Brewer Road.

SFPD Arrest Waterloo Man After Domestic Incident

A Waterloo man has been arrested following a domestic incident in Seneca Falls. At 4:30am, Saturday, the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Todd S Murphy following a domestic incident at a local motel. Murphy is alleged to have struck the female victim and restrained her to prevent her from fleeing. He is also said to have brought the victim to the ground while she was holding two small children.

Driver Leads Police on Pursuit Through Several Seneca County Towns

A Skaneateles resident led the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office on a pursuit through multiple towns after allegedly taking off from a traffic stop. Deputies say they witnessed Nicolo Petrocci driving erratically and passing through a red light at an intersection before initiating a traffic stop in the area of State Route 89 and Hyatt Road in Seneca Falls. Seneca Falls Man Arrested for Criminal Mischief and Harassment

On September 9th 2021, at 11:10 pm, the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Robert Furman, age 35, of Seneca Falls for Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation, Criminal Mischief 4th Degree and 2 counts of Harassment 2nd Degree. Police responded to a local apartment complex for the report of domestic incident. During the investigation Police found that Furman subjected the victim to unwanted physical contact, applied pressure to the victim’s neck and destroyed property during the altercation. Furman was transported to Seneca County CAP Court to await arraignment.
