Angela Jones Indicted For St. Cloud Murder

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Angela Renee Jones was indicted by a Stearns County grand jury on Thursday in connection to the death of Janessa Lashay Harris in St. Cloud this summer. Jones faces one count of first-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder. Credit: Stearns County Harris, 28, was found dead on June 2 inside an apartment on the 1400 block of 12th Avenue North. She died of a gunshot wound, police said. The next day, St. Cloud police found another woman dead on the side of the road. She was identified as 25-year-old Keisa Marie Lange. Jones and two others were charged in Lange’s death a week later. At the time, police said there were “notable similarities” between Lange and Harris’ killings. Sheriff: Lockdown prompted by armed man threatening to go to Kimball High School

Authorities say the the lock down of two Kimball schools Friday came in response to an armed man who had threatened to go to the high school. The Wright County Sheriff's Office said the incident started at around 11:30 a.m., when it received a report about a domestic disturbance in Southside Township, about 7 miles southeast of Kimbell. The person who reported the disturbance said a 43-year-old man had left the scene on foot, and said he would go to Kimball High School.

Twin Cities Car Jacking Suspect Caught In St. Cloud

(KNSI) – A car jacking suspect from Minneapolis was arrested in St. Cloud Thursday night. According to a press release, St. Cloud police were notified that a stolen vehicle from Minneapolis was possibly in the city. Using GPS technology, officers located the occupied stolen vehicle and attempted a traffic stop in the 300 block of 32nd Avenue North at about 11:07 p.m. The driver accelerated away from police and fled officers in the stolen vehicle. St. Cloud police pursued the vehicle for approximately 5 minutes before losing sight of it. The unoccupied vehicle was located a short time later in the 1300 block of 6th street North.

KIMBALL -- Wright County authorities have arrested a Maple Lake man after a domestic disturbance that also forced a soft lockdown of Kimball High School Friday. Deputies were called to the area of Highway 55 and Nevens Avenue Northwest in Southside Township at approximately 11:30 a.m. The caller told authorities that 43-year-old Joseph Anderson had left the scene and had threatened to go to Kimball High School.

(KNSI) – A woman already facing murder charges is accused of killing a second woman in St. Cloud. A Stearns County Grand Jury indicted Angela Renee Jones on one count of first and second-degree murder for the shooting death of 28-year-old Janesa Lashay Harris.
