This weekend in Saratoga is going to be absolutely beautiful! Check out Whitney Day, the 2022 National Racing Hall of Fame inductions, a Yo Yo Ma concert, and more. This Saturday marks the return of one of the biggest race days at Saratoga Race Course, Whitney Day. The day’s card will include the Grade 1, $1 million Whitney and other races. Saratoga Race Course will also honor local breast cancer survivors while supporting To Life!, a Capital Region non-profit organization, at the event.

On July 14th, the Museum opens two incredible new exhibits, with one exploring the immigrant experience and impact on the racing world and another showcasing a collection of Jim Raftery’s iconic equine photography.

Enjoy an Extra Special Art in the Park This Summer Season

What’s better than one Art in the Park? Two!! Saratoga Arts is joining forces with the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation (TRF), to bring a special equine-themed Art in the Park to Congress Park on Saturday, July 23rd! In celebration of the 2022 summer meet at the historic Saratoga Race Course, this inaugural July event will be underwritten by the New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA). Their sponsorship is allowing Saratoga Arts to offer a total of 10 free booths: five to Thoroughbred Aftercare and Equine-related charities and five to local community organizations serving the Saratoga Springs community!

These events, which are organized by the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation—a not-for-profit organization focused on the preservation, enhancement of, and education about the heritage of Saratoga Springs—were extremely successful in 2021. This summer, the Foundation is looking forward to sharing even more about the rich history of Saratoga Springs.
