Sierra Grande ranked 13th in Mile High Prep Report’s 6-man football standings

ALAMOSA – The Mile High Prep Report released its preseason 6-man football standings Friday on the association’s web site. One local team is in the Top 16 as Sierra Grande is ranked 13th. The Panthers went 10-1 last season and advanced to the 6-man state quarterfinals. However, the Panthers lost several players from last year’s team because of graduation.

Sanford ranked 10th in Mile High Prep Report’s 8-man standings

ALAMOSA – The Mile High Prep Report released its 8-man preseason rankings Friday on the organization’s web site. Sanford, now with the Mustangs as its mascot, is ranked 10th. It had a record of seven wins and five losses in 2021 and it advanced to the 8-man semifinals.

Centauri, Monte Vista in Mile High Prep Report Class 1A grid rankings

ALAMOSA – The Mile High Prep Report released its preseason Class 1A football rankings on Friday. The rankings are on the organization’s web site. Two San Luis Valley schools are in the rankings. Defending state champion Centauri is ranked fourth, and Monte Vista, which also made the playoffs last season, is ranked seventh.
