Los Gatos-Campbell 14U South Pop Warner team has a season to remember

When the Los Gatos-Campbell Longhorns South 14U Pop Warner football team started the season 1-3, few thought they could turn around their season and finish with a winning record, let alone make a deep playoff run. But head coach Saul Kennedy knew he had a team of talented athletes and...

Charitsis: Important starts now

To paint the whole picture, one must go back three years, specifically to Dec. 21, 2019. Women’s volleyball head coach Kevin Hambly had a front-row seat when his team dominated Wisconsin to win the NCAA title in straight sets (25-16, 25-17, 25-20), their third in four years. He had every reason to be sad, though, as he confessed in his post-title match interview. You see, that day, he witnessed athletes in the likeness of outside hitter Kathryn Plummer ’19, libero Morgan Hentz ’19, setter Jenna Gray ’19, opposite Audriana Fitzmorris ’19 and middle blocker Madeleine Gates ’19 playing for the last time. The class of 2019 is arguably the best in Stanford women’s volleyball history.

ESPN and its family of networks will carry more than 300 NCAA women's basketball games during their season. And few schools in the NCAA are doing this as well as the Stanford Cardinal.

With an emphasis on rebuilding the culture, things are looking up for Los Gatos High girls soccer

It took just one match—its season opener—for the Los Gatos High girls soccer team to equal its entire win total from a year ago. Coming off a tough 1-16 season, the Wildcats already have shown the 2022-2023 season will be vastly different than last year. Jessica Ingram is in her inaugural season as the Los Gatos coach but has plenty of experience manning the sideline as a current coach with club program Los Gatos United and spending the last two years as the Presentation High junior varsity coach.
