DENVER — David Peterson has patiently awaited another shot with the Mets and will get the opportunity.  The left-hander, part of the Mets’ taxi squad for this road trip, will be recalled from Triple-A Syracuse to start against the Giants at Oracle Park on Monday.  Peterson last pitched for the Mets on May 3, when he allowed three earned runs on four hits over five innings against the Braves in a doubleheader. SAN FRANCISCO—Fans at a San Francisco Giants game threw a beer bottle and at least one baseball towards San Diego Padres outfielder, Jurickson Profar, on Friday, May 20. During the bottom of the third inning Profar got into an exchange with fans. According to reports, he acted as if he was going to throw a ball into the stands and ended up throwing the ball onto the seats near the third base line. During that time someone threw a ball back onto the playing field. Fans booed during this period.

Padres player rips Giants fans after baseball-throwing incident

San Diego Padres outfielder Jurickson Profar had some major criticism for San Francisco Giants fans after an incident during Friday’s game. Profar was angry after two Giants fans threw baseballs on the field in his direction while he was warming up in left prior to the bottom of the third inning. Profar felt the fans were throwing the baseballs at him, and even pointed out the supposed offenders to umpire Ted Barrett.

Friday night’s game between the Giants and Padres at Oracle Park got co-opted by a group of rowdy fans in the left field bleachers. Stoppages in the middle of the third inning and during the seventh happened when fans threw objects onto the field, directed at Padres outfielder Jurickson Profar.
